Dellorto Filters

These filters are stunning, very well designed and easy to install and maintain. Paired with the cognito dellorto manifolds they really add some eye candy to the bike. I’ve received numerous compliments about the filters and how the bronze mesh really accents the other gold/bronze bits on the bike.

The only negatives I can say about the filters, which really aren’t that bad would be, I had to notch my right side filter face in order to clear the transmission (r75/5 4spd) bump-out so the front filter cover would sit flush with rear cover. It’s maybe a 1-2mm offset so it’s not that noticeable but I would noticed every time I looked at the bike so it needed addressing. With it being so tight on the right side the filter also had to be installed in pieces as the whole filter put together would hit the trans and block. Now this part may not apply to all but once the filters are screwed on I noticed I had a 1mm gap between the carb and the filter because the filter hits the accelerator pump adjusted screw once the filter is all the way treaded on. Not really a big issue as the filters are installed correctly, the gap is barely noticeable and the cognito logo is presented perfectly horizontal as it should be. I wound up making circular gaskets that slide past the threads seal the 1mm gap which also would prevent any air leaks (which honestly I doubt would happen with the filter being screwed on).
