BMW Airhead Lace Hub Conversion R60, R75, R80, R90 - 1970-1984 (replaces rear drum)

Lace hub conversion for BMW's 1970-1984 dual shock models R65, R75, R80 and R90. Replaces stock drum wheel with disc brake conversion. We eliminated the tapered bearing setup with modern sealed bearings (included). 

Original Spline coupling must be reused from stock wheel. The rivets can easily be drilled out. Replacement bolts are provided to remount spline drive.

Direct Bolt-On (1970–1984 BMW R65, R75, R80, R90)

• 1970–1973 models: You must either drill out the drive dog (splined coupling) to accept an M6 screw or replace the drive dog with OE part number 36 31 1 236 208 (available here).
  • The 36 31 1 236 208 drive dog is used on later R100 models. Because it has a larger bolt pattern, we have drilled and tapped this hub to accept both the stock drive dog and the larger R100 drive dog.

This setup allows a direct bolt-on conversion for models switching from drum brakes.
