Rear Drum-to-Disc Brake Conversion Hub — BMW Airhead (1970–1985)

This hub is a direct bolt-on solution for converting BMW dual-shock Airhead models from rear drum brakes to a rear disc brake setup using a Brembo P32 or P34 caliper. Designed as a laced hub conversion, it replaces the stock drum wheel hub on BMW R45, R60, R65, R75, R80, R90, and select R100 models from 1970–1985.

The factory tapered bearing arrangement has been eliminated and replaced with modern sealed bearings, which are included. The original spline coupling (drive dog) from your stock wheel must be reused. Simply drill out the factory rivets — the replacement mounting bolts are included.

Note for 1970–1973 models: The early-style drive dog must either be drilled to accept an M6 screw, or replaced with OEM part number 36 31 1 236 208 (available here). The 36 31 1 236 208 drive dog is used on later R100 models. Because it has a larger bolt pattern, this hub has been drilled and tapped to accept both the stock drive dog and the larger R100 drive dog.
