Fair price for integrated indicators. I did not notice the backing plate area when I added to cart. I interpret this as a locating feature which could be made much smaller, since the way the loom is routed, its an unused void in the yoke. And it uses space on the yoke which could be used for holes for risers.
Would have liked to see the plate have a junction for the lamp grounds, and then a single ground wire run from that junction point into the loom, instead of 5 ground wires as supplied.
Also, would highly recommend supplying the Right Turn indicator on yellow wire with a green tracer, just to mitigate the need to test the yellow wires.
Very nicely made and designed. I have a full machine shop and these were priced so reasonably, that it was not worth my time to make them up myself. I really like the retrofit spanner holes for easy install and remove.
Nice bit of kit. Thanks for making a quality part at a price point that I could justify paying versus me milling it from scratch.
Bought to retrofit onto a 2005 Kawasaki ZX-6R for a project.
Center stem hole as provided was 25mm ID, and I had to clamp it on the mill with a boring head and open it up to 28mm. (I noted the engraved PN seems to indicate it's for 03 and 04, but the part description on your site says 03 thru 19.) No biggie on my end, I easily had it sorted... but for those that don't have the infrastructure, you might want to offer a bore diameter selection to verify stem diameter and then provide accordingly.
Nice tool paths, fit and finish is commensurate with the price.
The blind tube binders are a nice feature, recommend you provide install torque information with the parts too, (and I also recommend nickel anti-seize on the cap screws into those aluminum nuts at final assembly.)
An elitist cosmetic gripe: I would have really preferred for the engraved COGNITOMOTO to be on the underside of the yoke. People are gonna eyeball it anyways, and the really interested ones will see it, regardless. But where it's at is subtle enough to not be an eyesore.
I also had the top clamp indicator mod done as well, will provide feedback there separately. However, be advised that if the intent as a potential buyer is to put your own holes in this yoke to fit handlebar risers (like mine was), the indicator mod consumes a bunch of real estate. It's doable, but doesn't leave you with a lot of options as to where the holes land.
Excellent machinery and finish, maybe the brake pedal was a bit woobly compared to the shifter. For european customers the rear sets might be bigger than we are used to. The pegs for brake and shifter are as thick as we would normally find a foot peg. But all together a nice product and very good service from the seller, with good communication.
